Meet our May Nonprofit of the Month: PAWS

Wednesday, May 2, 2018by  Sharlyn Petit

paws-logo.jpgFor the month of May, our employees nominated and voted for Lynnwood's PAWS as our Nonprofit of the Month.

PAWS' mission is to be a champion for animals, "rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating people to make a better world for animals and people."

Here's why our employees Molly L. and Michelle S. championed PAWS, in their own words:

PAWS has been Lynnwood and Snohomish County's local animal shelter for as long as I can remember. They not only take in dogs and cats, but other animals, and they rehabilitate injured wildlife back into nature. – Molly

PAWS recently met a dog named Rue who was limping and dragging his paw. When they X-rayed him, they saw that his poor leg was full of shotgun pellets. They spent the money and time to treat him and are now looking to find him a home. They're awesome and are known nationally for their integrity and care! – Michelle

This month Molly and Michelle are helping to organize an upcoming Pet Supply Drive for employees in our offices to benefit PAWS.

You can support PAWS by volunteering, donating directly via their website, or attending a community event

P.S. How adorable are our PEMCO pets?
