How we help with accidents, injuries and claims

Broken glass on a vehicle windshield.

Glass Repair

PEMCO has streamlined the windshield repair process. If you have comprehensive coverage, all you need to do is to select an auto glass shop (your choice), and that shop will take care of all the paperwork directly with PEMCO.

We recommend you choose a glass shop that’s certified by the National Glass Association. Examples: Speedy (1‑888‑892‑9859), Safelite (1‑800‑800‑2727) or Novus (1‑800‑776‑6887).

If you've already had your glass repaired and want reimbursement, please email PEMCOCSDClaims@pemco.com. Include the following information: your policy number, date of the repair, vehicle repaired, glass company and the amount. We'll take care of the expense according to your coverage.

Why repair instead of replace your windshield? Because glass-chip repair doesn’t require you to pay a deductible. It’s also best to repair chips instead of replacing the windshield, if possible, to leave the factory seal intact.

Towing and Roadside Assistance

Worry less and live more with PEMCO’s towing coverage. Select this additional coverage, and if you have a mechanical breakdown and need roadside assistance, help is only a phone call away at 1‑866‑882‑4840.

Tow reimbursement form

If you’ve had the tow completed, please submit this quick form for reimbursement. We’ll take care of the expense according to your coverage.

Call us at 1‑800‑467‑3626 if you need to verify your coverage.

Two cars in a fender-bender.

Auto Accident

You’ve got a PEMCO defender standing by, ready to get you back on the road. Follow the steps below to make sure everyone’s safe, and then begin the process of getting you back to your next Northwest adventure.

Safety first.

  • Determine if there are any injuries and call 911 for help, if needed.
  • Step away from traffic and move your car to the side of the road, if you can safely do so.

Limit statements.

  • Exchange insurance information.
  • Don’t discuss responsibility for the accident with anyone except the police.
  • Don't discuss policy limits with anyone.

Record the facts you can safely gather.

  • Date, time and location of the accident.
  • The names, addresses and telephone numbers of registered owners, injured people, occupants of other cars and witnesses.
  • Snap photos or get the descriptions and license plate numbers of the other cars involved.

Report the accident.

Your claims representative will walk you through the claims process.

First, we’ll confirm the coverages in effect at the time of the accident and explain how they apply in your situation. Our Claims Department will investigate further and keep you updated on the progress of the investigation.

While every claim is different, we’ve established solid processes for evaluating the damages on a claim. These processes might include working with our Timesaver Repair Program, reviewing a submitted estimate or working with a contractor to get a bid for repairs.

Based on that evaluation, we’ll make payment under the provisions of your policy. This may entail getting a release from someone who has a claim against you or may be as simple as paying the towing company’s bill.

A fallen tree on top of a home.

Home Claim

Your home is your sanctuary, and PEMCO is here for you to make sure it stays that way. Here are the steps, resources and partners we’ve put in place to return your home (and your life) to normal.

Safety first.

  • Ensure that you and your family are safe.
  • Call 911 for help, if needed.

Report the claim.

Protect your property from further damage.

  • This might include securing a broken door after a burglary or covering up your property to keep the rain out.
  • Keep records of any expenses so that your adjuster can review them.

A representative will be in contact with you promptly to discuss your claim. They’ll advise you on the claims process, verify the coverages that apply and work with you to resolve the claim.

While PEMCO will gladly recommend contractors in your area, you’re always free to find contractors on your own. The ultimate choice of who to hire is yours. Your representative will be there to guide you through the repair process and answer any questions.

Remember that your PEMCO homeowners policy does more than just repair or replace your home and property. If your home is not fit to live in as a result of a covered loss, we’ll provide reimbursement for costs over and above your normal expenses, such as restaurant meals or hotel costs, that result from being temporarily displaced.

You can report a claim to PEMCO 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling 1‑800‑467‑3626 or signing on to your online account.
