PEMCO's Nonprofit of the Month program continues in 2018! The program gives our employees a chance to champion the organizations that mean the most to them, and for January, we head to Lynnwood where our employees nominated and chose the
Lynnwood Parks & Recreation Foundation.
The mission of the Lynnwood Parks & Recreation Foundation is to promote and support parks, trails, and recreational programs throughout the Lynnwood community. With programs like Shakespeare in the Park, the Heritage Park Water Tower Project, and the Park Steward Program, the nonprofit is helping neighbors build strong ties to their community.
Here's why Lynnwood Claims supervisor, John A. nominated this organization, in his words:
"With your support, the Lynnwood Parks & Recreation Foundation provides scholarships for low-income youth, seniors, and disabled adults to participate in a wide array of programs. Their programs offer places for play or rest and provide a connection with nature, neighbors, and the community."
