Yakima again ranks fifth for stolen cars in the U.S., and Spokane ranks ninth, down from fourth last year, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
Because of its size, the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area had far more stolen vehicles than Yakima, nearly 16,000. But Yakima’s total of 1,665 was proportionately higher for its population. Read the brief Yakima Herald-Republic story.
