Russian dash-cams prove fault in wrecks

Videos shot by dashboard cameras make headlines nowadays, whether they capture police action in Seattle, Oregon Ducks football payers driving 118 mph on I-5, or a flaming meteor over Russia.
   Many were baffled when so many videos of the Russian meteor appeared overnight on YouTube. How could all those drivers just happen to be equipped and ready to shoot a fleeting fireball?
   The answer is, many Russians use dash cameras to prove their innocence in car crashes. Russia has one of the highest accident rates in the world, plus a lot of fraudulent "wrecks" staged to extort money. Read the Washington Post story that appeared in The Seattle Times.
