Rain, Rain Go Away; Foos Cup Continues

Thursday, May 26, 2011by  WALLY Team

If the Sounders are playing, it must be raining.

This has become a common phrase amongst Sounders fans, and it was more true than ever for the first weekday game of the season. With wind gusts clocking in at nearly 25 miles per hour, our awning was no match for the sideways rain. One gust nearly sent our tent flying. Fortunately, some faithful Sounders and Foos Cup fans helped keep it on the ground while we packed up.

Many of those who braved th e poor weather were at Qwest Field for Pro Sports Career Day, an event put on by Washington DECA. We had one group of students who drove up all the way from Lacey for the event. Thanks for stopping by the tent.

The conditions outside may have been cold and wet,
but inside our tent, the action for the DECA group was heating up

With no Sounders game this weekend, what is there to do? If you're searching a fun and exciting way to spend your holiday weekend, you can just meet up with us as we head to Bellingham in WALLY1 for Ski to Sea, the annual seven-leg race (Cross Country Ski; Downhill Ski/Snowboard; Running; Road Bike; Canoe; Mountain Bike; Kayak) from Mt. Baker to Bellingham Bay. We hope to see you there!

Our winners for the day - Team Thor's Hammer with 12 goals!
