Our September Nonprofit of the Month is Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation.
The Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation funds programs to help people in our community get the hospice care and grief support they deserve – like programs for terminally ill children, special patient needs, case management services, and grief and bereavement services for families.
For more than 30 years, the generosity of donors has enabled the foundation to provide hospice care and grief support to the patients and families who need it most, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Our employee Denice T. nominated and championed Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation a 2018 Nonprofit of the Month organization.
Here's why the organization is important to Denice, in her own words:
"Many of us have or will experience the need for hospice at one time or another in our lives. Prior to joining the Foundation board, I was personally touched by how well the caregivers of Providence took care of both my mom and my dad when they were nearing their end of life. Since joining the board, I have learned about the care and compassion this organization brings to not only to terminally ill patients, but also to family members and especially children who are either terminally ill or who are grieving the loss of a family member. They also provide invaluable palliative services to those who are not yet qualified for hospice care but need assistance in managing their illness."
Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation gratefully welcomes community support through donations. Here's how you can help.
