Our bigger, bolder 12 banner debuts over Seattle

The 12s are back and flying high!
Today after lunchtime, people around Seattle gawked aloft at the huge 12 banner circling the area. The 120-by-100-foot flag proclaiming our region’s Seahawks pride first flew over the Super Bowl last February, a game you might recall.
The “12” on PEMCO’s banner is a mosaic of 22,458 photos of fans who submitted their pics before the epic Seahawks-Patriots battle. In that way, we brought their presence to the game.
Today, Blue Friday, the banner to me signifies a reboot on the Hawks’ 2015 season. Seattle fought hard and lost two close road games. But Sunday we play at home for the first time since dispatching the Packers in the playoffs, and Kam is back.
My gut tells me that Sunday is when the Hawks truly will rebound from that game in Glendale and chart a new course – hopefully, one that will lead them to Levi Stadium in Santa Clara on Feb. 7.
     Go Hawks!
