Montana glaciers could be gone by 2020

Glacier National Park in northern Montana has long been a magnet for those wanting to ogle its craggy peaks, pristine lakes and, of course, its many glaciers. But recently scientists warned that climactic changes are shrinking those glaciers, and they’ll likely disappear by 2030.
     Now, a park ranger tells The Seattle Times’ Danny Westneat that the glaciers are retreating faster than expected and might be gone by 2020. Discover what Westneat learned about Glacier National Park on his family road trip in this Seattle Times column.
