“He scults, he waxes, he twists, he curls”, we’re talking about our newest NW Profile,
Whiskers of Wonder Guy, of course! There sure wasn’t a shortage of them at the
Mustache Dache - Seattle this past weekend. We even saw women and children sporting their mustaches, too – fake ones, of course! Everything from a Hulk Hogan ‘stache to green and blue ones, everyone wore their ‘staches proudly!
These Mustachios dached through Magnuson Park on Saturday to support
No Shave November in partner with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness for testicular cancer. Movember encourages those to let their hair down and let it grow. The money that would’ve been spend on shaving and grooming for a month can be donated to the cause in order to help save lives, and aid those fighting the battle of cancer.
For those of you who are participating in No-Shave November and have a few weeks to go before the month is over, the WALLY team has a few tips on how you can be successful in Movember.
Keep a mirror close-by: You’ll want to adore the beard you’re growing, don’t be afraid to look in a mirror and admire yourself and your beard! Also, it’s a good idea to keep one close by to check your beard after eating for crumbs - unless you plan on saving it for later!
Sign up with a group: How about this? You can hang out with your friends AND raise funds to help fight cancer at the same time! Make it fun and run a contest to see which of you can grow the longest, silliest beard.
Hide your clippers: Sure, it might get itchy and in the way, but hiding your grooming tools can help eliminate the temptation of shaving. Stay strong, you can do it!
The good news is, if you’ve come this far, you’re halfway done!
The WALLY team had a great time at the Mustache Dache and you can catch us at future dache’s coming up!
Look for us at:
Mustache Dache - Portland: November 15
Mustache Dache - Corvallis: December 6
If you’re interesting in supporting the cause but don’t want to run, no sweat! Check out the
