Camp Muir upgrades should delight climbers

Camp Muir is getting a facelift.
   The 10,080-foot overnight stop for climbers ascending Mount Rainier will receive $700,000 in upgrades, thanks to the National Parks Service. Though Muir’s rustic stone structures will remain – including the guide shelter and public hut – the “black box” eyesore will be replaced.
