Where do you stop on road trips?


According to the 2018 PEMCO Insurance Northwest Poll, while one-third of respondents (33 percent) said they prefer to stop at a rest area when they’re on the road, a majority (61 percent) said they’d rather take a break at restaurants, gas stations or coffee shops. 10 percent say they never stop at a rest stop because they worry they’re unclean or unsafe.

PEMCO Insurance commissioned this independent survey, conducted by FBK Research of Seattle, that asked Washington and Oregon residents questions about driving habits and attitudes toward current Northwest issues. The sample size, 600 respondents in Washington and 600 in Oregon, yields an accuracy of +/- 4.1 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
