PEMCO ranks highest for customer satisfaction in J.D. Power 2013 Auto Insurance Study

Local company honored among award-eligible insurers in Northwest region



​​​SEATTLE – PEMCO Insurance, known for being “a little different” and serving the Northwest exclusively, has been recognized for ranking the highest in customer satisfaction among auto insurers in the Northwest region by J.D. Power in its 2013 U.S. Auto Insurance Study.

The J.D. Power study measures customer satisfaction for interaction, price, policy offerings, billing and payment, and claims.

“This is great news for our customers, and for us,” said Stan McNaughton, PEMCO CEO. “We’re a mutual insurer owned by our policyholders, and this study affirms the strong relationship between us. The J.D. Power study reflects consumer opinions from 45,521 total responses measuring 12 award-eligible auto insurers in the Northwest. The survey was conducted in March-April 2013. 

This is the first year that J.D. Power ranked insurers in its newly designated Northwest Region that comprises Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. PEMCO is a regional insurer that serves Washington and Oregon residents from its Seattle headquarters. PEMCO’s regional identity is underscored by its popular ad campaign that profiles Northwest personas with the tag line, “We’re a lot like you. A little different.”
