Tacoma, Oregon team up to fill NW pickle void

Nalley's may be history, but a pickle company started in 2011 by two Bellarmine Prep grads aims to fill the void.
Lynnae's Gourmet Pickles began shortly after Northwest icon Nalley's closed its doors in July 2011. Demand has nudged production southward to a larger factory in McMinnville, Ore., where Lynnae produces 10,000 jars in a month, using her great-grandmother's secret family recipe.
Employees must sign a nondisclosure agreement to keep the ingredients and process secret, but the owners did disclose they use cucumbers grown in Oregon and garlic from Gilroy, Calif. Read the Tacoma News Tribune article.
