Seahawks vs. 49ers: Our "Qwest" to Find "Supercharged Seahawks Fans"

Monday, September 13, 2010by  WALLY Team

Qwest Field was absolutely electric yesterday. From the 12th Man flag-raising by Chad Brown to the chants of "De-fense," the energy inside the stadium was contagious - and not the type of contagious you get sick from. We are glad that football season has arrived, and we promise that we won't get sick of it any time soon!

Peter, Steven and I stationed ourselves in Touchdown City and greeted the 12th Man personally. As we snapped photos of these football fanatics, we were blown away by the incredible enthusiasm emanating from the diehard fans.  The gobs of green and blue face paint, the personalized costumes and the intimidating Seahawks signs were all tangible displays of the Northwest's pride in the Seattle Seahawks. And the team rode the wave of energy to a convincing victory over their division foes, the 49ers. The Seahawks announced that they are not looking to rebuild this year; they are ready to reload.

As good as the team looked on the field, its fans looked even better off it. We couldn't believe how many fanatical fans stopped by our booth. Take a look for yourself at some of the personalities that made PEMCO's photo program part of their pregame ritual:

The 12th Man's energy literally lifted up Allison from Everett.

We knew the 49ers were dead when we saw this fan roaming through Touchdown City.

The Seahawks have a bright future - that's why these guys wear shades.

We definitely met our fair share of characters at this week's Seahawks game. We expect to meet a few more characters this upcoming weekend as we visit Othello for the town's parade and rodeo. Hopefully we'll see you there!
