Now that’s a little odd, teen driver

V-Day mishap: Perhaps the driver was distracted – waving at classmates, ogling a friend’s cool car, or eyeing his Valentine sweetheart?
Regardless, the 16-year-old pulled off the shoulder of the road in front of Nyssa High School on Feb. 14 and promptly hit a westbound car.
A Nyssa police car, to be precise.
Oregon State Police investigated and cited the teen for failure to yield. No one was injured.

Know left from right: St. Louis police say a teen driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake Feb. 19 and crashed into a brick apartment building.
No one was hurt, including a surprised resident inside the apartment.
The teen had just bought the black sedan, underscoring the importance of becoming accustomed to unfamiliar vehicles before driving into traffic.

Driver fires gun: KOMO News reports that a 19-year-old male was arrested Feb. 23 for firing several shots into the air while driving on Rainier Avenue South near Lowe’s Home Improvement.
The driver admitted to police he had fired four shots with a handgun. He was booked into King County Jail on felony gun charges.
The shooting took place just four blocks from Franklin High School.
