The Recumbent Bike Commuter will have thousands of friends taking to the bike lanes this Friday, May 20, for Bike Everywhere Day.
It started out as "Bike to Work Day," but became so popular in the Seattle area that it quickly grew in size and scope. Now it's elevated to "Bike Everywhere Day" – a broader event to help promote safe and bike-able streets, a healthy lifestyle and environmentally friendly transportation.
If you're among the thousands of people who plan to commute on two (or three) wheels to work on Friday, be sure to stop by one of the "celebration stations" around the region for souvenirs, prizes, snacks and more! (Here's a handy interactive map.)
We'll be hosting one of the celebration stations outside our Seattle headquarters along Dexter Avenue North, one of the major north/south bike corridors. Just swing by our building (located at 1300 Dexter Ave. N) between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and grab a snack, or cruise into our outdoor parking area for a quick, complimentary bike wash with bike experts from Métier (available between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.). Hope to see you there!
