Bigfoot is probably real

Sasquatch. Yeti. Bigfoot. We've all heard of him (or her). Some of us even claim to have seen him. And we all know someone that will forever be Desperately Seeking Sasquatch. Yet, some may ask, where is the proof? Since the 1850s there have been hundreds of eyewitness accounts, but none have produced Bigfoot himself in the flesh. Until now, that is. It seems he's been hiding right in our backyard at the Renton History Museum.

Ashley and I had the opportunity this week to visit the museum to investigate the sighting for ourselves. What we found was the most lovable Bigfoot imaginable. Snacking away on a hiker's doughnuts, this Sasquatch seemed less menacing than local lore would lead you to believe.

The Big Foot Is Probably Real exhibit is really something to behold. Kids are encouraged to draw their own Bigfoot and mimic his long stride with footprint shaped boots. There is even a station where museum-goers are offered a chance to share their own Bigfoot sighting stories. And of course, there is Bigfoot himself!

Artist Eugene Parnell dedicated four months of evening and weekend work to this piece of art. With 12-hour days on the weekend and weekday evening labor, his hard work paid off.

Don't miss your opportunity to see Bigfoot in person! This exhibit, which runs through January, is one you won't want to miss!
