Camp in style in an Oregon state park cabin

Friday, March 28, 2014by  Jon Osterberg

Looking to camp in Oregon, but don’t like roughing it? Oregon’s state park cabins might be for you.
There are 96 rustic retreats spread around the state, offering solid roofs, heat, beds, a table, and sometimes bathrooms, covered porches, and partial kitchens.
Many of the cabins are in state parks near Oregon’s scenic wonders. You’ll find them off Highway 101 on the coast and near Silver Falls, Emigrant Springs, Lake Billy Chinook, Deschutes River, Prineville Reservoir, and other picturesque spots.
Rustic cabins rent for only $39-$43, with deluxe cabins starting at $59. But reserve one soon if you’re interested – they’re often spoken for weeks if not months in advance. Read The Register-Guard article.
